Local events are scattered across calendars, posters and websites. I’m building Okolo to bring them onto one map, so finding something to do with the family takes a bit less digging.
What should we do this weekend?
Okolo started around Linz in Austria. You can look for nearby events and places, then narrow things down by date, distance and what works for a family outing.
Even the event on the poster.
A useful event might be on a municipal website or a notice pinned to a wall. Okolo brings those details together, links back to the source, and includes a way to scan an event poster.
Where it is matters.
Something can sound great and still be too far away for the afternoon you have. Keeping the map at the centre makes that easier to judge. Behind it is the less visible work: collecting events, checking sources and making them searchable.
